“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. ” 2 Cor. 4:17

My semester begins and ends the same
And I am left with a sense of longing for
Heaven. My home.

I travel the world
I go to class
I learn and experience more
But how can I be looking for anything
Other than what I’ve found before?

This world is aimless and beautiful
Like a lazy summer day.
The mosquitoes might buzz
You might sweat
Or get a sunburn
But it doesn’t ruin the day.
I drink in the bittersweet lemonade
I think about mosquito bites and scraped knees
Chlorine-damaged hair and sand in my shoes
And know that I’d never trade any of it.
You can’t spoil my Day 🙂
